Fix connection issues

If TasksBoard cannot access your Google Tasks or is not syncing properly, you can use our troubleshooting page to automatically fix the issue, or try the following solutions in order.

If you are using a Google Workspace (G Suite) account (@yourCompanyName.com instead of @gmail.com), ask your Workspace administrator to check if Calendar and Tasks accesses are enabled for your account on the Google Workspace Apps settings page.

Then try to Sign in again.

If the error persists or you are not using Google Workspace, you can reset the access to your Google Account to solve your connection issue.

To reset the access automatically, use this link: Reset access.

If the automatic reset doesn’t solve the problem, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Google account permission page
  2. Select “TasksBoard” in the section named “Third-party apps with account access”
  3. Click “Remove Access”
  4. Come back to TasksBoard and Sign in again by accepting all requested access (to allow TasksBoard to manage your tasks)

If the problem persists, clear your browser cache and try again.

  • Google Chrome: select Menu (3 dots icon on the top right corner), click on “Privacy and Security”, then “Cookies and other site data”, then “See all site data and permissions”, search for TasksBoard and click the bin icon to remove the data.
  • Safari: go to Settings, then “Privacy”, then “Manage website data”, search for “tasksboard” and click the remove button.
  • Microsoft Edge: select Menu (3 dots icon on the top right corner), then “Settings”, then “Privacy & Services”, then “Clear browsing data”, search for “tasksboard” and click the remove button.

Then try to Sign in again.

Check if you have any browser extension that could prevent TasksBoard from connecting properly, such as an ad blocker or Privacy Badger.

Disable or whitelist TasksBoard in the extension settings, then try to Sign in again.
