# Notifications for shared lists

You can receive notifications when tasks are added to a shared list. 

This feature is available only with a [Premium subscription](https://support.tasksboard.com/premium/premium-plan).

**How it works:**

* If you have a visible TasksBoard tab open, notifications will appear directly inside the app along with a sound alert.

* If the app is in the background or closed, you’ll receive a standard system notification from your browser. Clicking the notification will open the related list.

#### How to enable notifications:

To start receiving notifications for shared lists:

1. Click the **bell icon** at the top right of your screen.

2. Allow browser notifications when prompted.

> Notifications will only be delivered if your browser allows them and TasksBoard has permission to send them.
>
> Notifications are only triggered when a sync is performed on TasksBoard.
>
> This means if a change is made in Google Calendar (or another connected service), it won’t trigger a notification until one of the users of the shared list opens TasksBoard and sync occurs.
