Priorities

Give a task a priority to see at a glance what to tackle first: P1 (urgent, red flag), P2 (high, orange flag), P3 (medium, blue flag) or no priority. Setting a priority is a Premium feature (“Priorities”); sorting and filtering by priority work on every plan.
Set a priority
Section titled “Set a priority”- Open the task.
- Click the flag button (“Set priority”) in the row of buttons under the details.
- Pick “Urgent”, “High”, “Medium” or “No priority”.
The level shows in the editor (“P1 · Urgent”), and the task’s card gets a colored flag with the level (P1, P2, P3). You can also type p1, p2, p3 (or !!!, !!, !) in the title: see dates, priorities and labels in a task title.
From the keyboard
Section titled “From the keyboard”While a task is open, press Cmd+1, Cmd+2 or Cmd+3 (Ctrl+1/2/3 on Windows) to set P1, P2 or P3, and Cmd+0 (Ctrl+0) to clear the priority.
Sort a list by priority
Section titled “Sort a list by priority”Open the three dots menu (⋮) of a list, click “Sort By” and choose “Priority”. P1 tasks come first, then P2, P3, and finally tasks without a priority; tasks of the same priority keep your custom order. Subtasks stay under their parent task.
Find tasks by priority
Section titled “Find tasks by priority”Open the search filters (the filter icon in the search bar) and pick one or more levels in the “Priority” filter (“P1 · Urgent”, “P2 · High”, “P3 · Medium”); “No priority” finds tasks that have none.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- The priority is stored in the task’s details as a
⚑ P1line (or P2, P3). Google Tasks and other apps show that line in the details; leave it alone and TasksBoard keeps reading it. - Removing the line in another app removes the priority.
- Priorities, like labels and attachments, sync through Google Tasks, so they follow the task on every device where you use TasksBoard.
