Refunds and unexpected charges

Cancelling a subscription never refunds anything by itself: it stops the next payment. If a charge was a mistake, this page explains what can be refunded and how to ask.
Refund policy
Section titled “Refund policy”- A refund can be requested within 30 days of the charge.
- Monthly plan: the charge is refunded in full.
- Yearly plan: the unused part of the year is refunded, pro rata from the day you ask.
- After 30 days, the charge is not refundable. The subscription can still be cancelled so nothing more is charged, and Premium stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
Once a refund is issued, Premium ends immediately. The money goes back to the card that was charged; banks take 5 to 10 business days to show it.
Ask for a refund
Section titled “Ask for a refund”Write to contact@tasksboard.com from the Google account that holds the subscription, so we can check it is yours. Include:
- the date and amount of the charge,
- if you have it, the invoice number from the Subscription page (“Manage billing & invoices”).
If you no longer have access to that Google account, see cancel a subscription you cannot sign in to.
”I was charged after my free trial”
Section titled “”I was charged after my free trial””The free trial lasts 7 days and asks for a card. The Start your free trial dialog states the exact date and amount of the first payment, for example “7 days free, then $47.88”. The subscription starts on that date unless you cancel before it from the Subscription page.
TasksBoard does not send a reminder email before the trial ends or before a yearly renewal, so note the date when you start. The charge after a trial falls under the 30-day policy above.
”I cancelled, but I was charged again”
Section titled “”I cancelled, but I was charged again””In almost every case the charge belongs to another Google account: a work and a personal account, or an old and a new address, each with its own subscription. Open tasksboard.com/subscription while signed in with each account you use; the account that shows “Active” is the one being billed. A cancelled subscription shows “Not renewing” with the last day of access.
If none of your accounts shows an active subscription, send us the charge details and we will find it: see identify a TasksBoard charge.
Small extra amounts on the statement
Section titled “Small extra amounts on the statement”A second line of a few cents or a couple of dollars next to the TasksBoard charge is a foreign transaction fee added by your bank, because the payment is processed in Switzerland. TasksBoard does not charge it and cannot refund it. Choosing your own currency on the pricing page before subscribing avoids a currency conversion.
